My uncle had a thing on the side for about 15 years (complete with children), and revealed this to his wife on her deathbed. She forgave him, he subsequently married the other woman, and they lived somewhat happily ever after for a good dozen years after that (until my Uncle died).
On the other hand, my father has had a thing on the side at the tail end of each of his three marriages. The thing on the side has become the main thing, and he's gone off to find another thing on the side. I think he just always needs two things going at any one time.
I, on the other hand, have never had a thing on the side. |
