That's actually fine. It's the 1980s Vettes and on that are pure cheese.

Absolute classic. I could not believe what I was seeing. I also couldn't believe that someone pitched the idea with a straight face, got it approved and found actors who could film an episode without laughing out loud in every. single. scene. It is one of Western Civilization's most significant artifacts.

Friend of mine has a Ferrari. He called ahead of time to see if there was "secure parking" before coming to my sister's birthday party. When he was told that the parking was as secure as any other street in Houston, he opted to drive the 325 convertible instead.

It's a pretty fucking cool car, even though he doesn't have many places he feels safe parking it.

Don't know why but that just made me think of this.

A friend recently bought a Lotus. At first he was excited about having it, but he gradually revealed that he is not comfortable parking it in many places, and there are many "no go" roads in Houston because of ginormous potholes and railroad tracks. I've only seen him drive the Lotus once. The rest of the time, he just drives his mid-90s Volvo.

The parking garage for my apartment contains a black Ferrari, a yellow Lambourghini and an orange Lotus. The Lambourghini does absolutely nothing for me. Harsh, straight lines. Meh. Both the Ferrari and the Lotus are pretty, curvy cars, that I would be willing to passenge in. The Lotus is only about 4 feet tall. It looks like this: http://www.lotuscars.com/

I wouldn't buy any of them. Not even after I won the WSOP Main Event. But they are kind of fun to look at.

Dissent in part. Starting in the 70's and into the 80's they were cheesy. The new ones, while not high on my list of "wants,"if I were in the market, are pretty respectable sportscars now. I have a friend who bought one a year or two ago, and it's a hell of a car. Plus, he can pretty much park it anywhere without major worry.

Hmm. The Lambourghini has kind of a retro feel that I like. When I lived in a building with some Blue Jays, one of them had one. But it was garish yellow, which I didn't like.

Oh no...don't get me wrong; they are perfect for Ohio.

Some of the songs that have been suggested for 3/4 time are actually in 6/8.

But I'm not telling which ones.
Phphphpht.

I found a website that says "Kiss From A Rose" is in 3/4 -- I disagree. I similarly disagree about "Breaking the Girl" by RHCP and Piano Man. All are in 6/8.

Though I'd defer to Abba on this point.

It's ABBA.

Anyway, are you working on Britney's lawsuit? Did you send the cease and desist letters about Jen's breasts? Do you have a chair yet?

Happy Holidays, bitches! I'm out of here.

I know someone who bought one for the specific purpose of cruising the Seawall in Galveston to get laid. Dunno if it works or not.

I'm not a fan at all of the humpy 70s and 80s 'vette, though I'm still mildly pissed at my grandmother for selling my dad's '58 Corvette when he went away for school.

The current models are pretty enough, and they're probably the most cost-effective sports car out there.

Kinda sorta related, I was doing a google search for the Car and Driver head to head comparison of the Syclone and the Ferrari, which was pretty damned funny (my favorite comparison is how many kegs the cars can haul), and found this. Who knew there were still people who care about the super trucks? Who knew that I was such a geek to remember the Car and Driver article?

Surprisingly enough, my dad was unpersuaded that he should trade in the Explorer and get this when it came out. He got a Suburban instead, so I guess GM was happy either way.
