Where is La Paigow when you need her?

I will give you Savannah - I suspect that one has sounded hookerish for a couple centuries. I've never met a Savannah.

Brianna, no. And, as to Myrtle, you clearly have not met my Great Aunt Myrtle. I can only imagine how many young soldiers in the Great War whispered her name with reverence and longing. Right up there with Esme and Sybil.

I will go ahead and risk some wrath, by stating categorically that Tammy is one of the cheesiest names ever. It is perhaps surpassed in cheesiness only by the name Kim.

Ah, two girls I remember fondly.

Neither was a great conversationalist, however.

I actually know someone who spells it "Khym".

I used to know a woman who once worked at the Chicken Ranch named Myrtle. Apparently no one told her it wasn't an appropriate stripper name.

That is my favorite football highlight. Nothing beats it. Not even those Barry Sanders highlights.

Favorite baseball highlight: Kevin Mitchell's bare-handed catch in left or Ozzie Smith's ridiculous diving grab when the ball flies up way over his head on a bad hop.

Favorite basketball highlight: Jordan's half-turn, faking out Oakley and Starks (I think) on the baseline and the resulting dunk on Ewing's head. Or Jordan's dunk on Mark Eaton to shut up a fan. Or Vince Carter's dunk where he literally jumped over that 7 foot guy.

You dare defame two of the classiest rodeo princess names of all time?

I never particularly liked the name Tammy - although I was friends with several Tammys growing up. Too Tammy Faye. Or something.

NFH is MIA

so I will break this news for you all: Angelina Jolie is PREGNANT !

Do you think they'll name it Savannah if it's a girl? I'm guessing they won't go with Jennifer.

well, you might have to look at bebecentro.com. Indeed, those wacky brits have a list all their own:

babycentre. I'm going Callum for my boy. And Chloe seems a lot less bad with an umlaut (well, diaeresis, I suppose).

They really need to change the logo at the top of the website. On initial reading, I thought it said "Hollywood Fag."

What about Ffion over in Wales? I can't help but think that those poor girls are going to have to live with Shrek comparisons for awhile.

Most of the Tammys I knew growing up gave off a really strong "chubby and desperate" vibe.

Some guys might find that a plus, I suppose.
