I would reply to this, but it would require me to make an inside reference, and I'm better than that. Much much better than that.

So what are you saying?
If it's simply to state that you find it annoying, bfd.
Why don't you just post that an avocada is not a vegetable and be done with it.
Sorry*, was that too inside?
*not really

Those are the ones that annoy me the most, too. Generally, the others tend to fly by me.
I prefer the sort, like the boxed wine thing with Penske and Ty, that everyone can pick up and have fun with, even if you have no fucking clue how it started or what it really means.

Shit, there's a code? I don't know the code.
Hank, whatever the code is, I don't have the decoder ring/Enigma machine. Um, I hope there has not been any fallout from anything I haven't been getting right . . .

I am in on jokes so deep inside that only I know about them. I feel sorry for everyone who is not me.

I can't believe I have to put up with this kind of ignorance, day after day after day. <sigh>

Called "poutine," right? There's a picture of them on the Canadian $7 bill.
Some of us are doing our best to be culturally sensitive to the Canadians in our midst.

I miss most of the inside references, but I find the explanations on the inside-reference thread to be super helpful.
If anyone wants in, just ask ncs to sign you up.

I, too, am concerned about the unsecured border. Best not piss them off.

I've noticed lately a wistful tone to Hank's posts alluding to y'all's enduring love. Whether this resulted from your getting it "right" or "wrong" is ultimately your call.

Getting one's heart cut out in a sacrificial ritual. Having one's head subsequently chopped off and thrown down the stairs of a pyramid. Having one's face chewed off by a panther.
The above catalog of harm only begins to hint at the dulling and eventually comic frequency of physical violence in Apocalypto, which progresses as a series of static set pieces that are little more than narrative pretexts for graphically imagined anguish."
