I've seen focus groups on her. She appeals to indepdendents and Republican women and to the liberal base of the party. For some reason she has been able to move to the center without ticking off the liberal base. Yes - Cindy Sheehan doesn't like her but that is about it.

I think the liberals like her because the conservatives hate her so much. But in any case, she seems to be the only Democrat able to stradle the liberals, the independents and Republican women.

Only Giuilian and McCain will be able to pull back the independents and the moderate Republican women.

Exactly. That is what I thought. But this guy (Frank) is a leader for the Social Conservatives in California. He has fought against Arnold every step of the way. In a primary in California I don't think Stephen Frank and I have ever agreed on the same candidate.

There is clearlly something going on behind the scenes we are not privy to.

Do you think Katie Couric secretly longs to wear a hijab?

How can she appeal to Republican women? What about her/her positions would appeal to them? Are these RiNos?

It may have not been a typo. I don't know. This was the first time I have heard someone refer to Gore that way. Basically, I have no clue to what that is about.

To the same extent I think SAM is a shill for the Democratic party, then yes. Yes, I do.

Libby trial

So now conservative team players Ari Fleischer and Judith Miller both say Libby told them about Valerie Plame before he says he learned about her from Tim Russert. Is Libby going to testify?

I don't really remember their reasons. I would guess some of it would have to do with the fact that she carries herself like a country club Republican woman (no emotion) but I don't really know. However, I have been privy to many Republican polls and focus groups that have all shown she has the potential to peel of a lot of Republican women.

There is a very good chance she will be our next President.

Given that his defense seems to be that he got confused and forgot, I would think he would have to, wouldn't he? How else does she show that he really didn't mean to mislead prosecutors?

Btw, the reports from this trial are fascinating in revealing how hard these guys were trying to discredit Wilson. Of course, there is something ironic about the fact that they only way they could do it is to accuse him of "lying" about the fact that he wasn't allowed to reveal (and yes, I realized he could have awarding the outing in more truthful ways than saying the Cheney sent him).

I have been warning this board of that danger since 2000. If that happens, the person I blame is Guiliani. Without his pussy act in the 2000 Senate race, she would be off the radar now.

Fuck!

eta: I don't care....it will be y'all's problem. I will be in Sicily.
