She has a whole show where she basically does community service. She blows it off and, as far as she's concerned, everyone loves her for it. She would incorporate community service into her show and once again, it would be a big joke.

If they took away her license for 5 years, I would be okay with that too. But what happens when she drives anyway after that?
|
After she was sentenced to the 45 days, she was photographed by the paparazzi driving to her lawyers office THE VERY NEXT DAY!!!!

Wait, you're saying Sebby's full of crap, again? Everyone watch for that on the breaking news from CNN! Or not.

It appears that she's been coached into acting distraught.
Rather than jail, they've taken her to the hospital, and I'm betting that's where this pampered bitch spends the entire sentence.

I think it was the photo in the police car that did it for me. The lack of dignity perhaps.
Or maybe the vodka...

Here's the thing. I don't think we're really disagreeing that much. People always talk about special treatment for celebrities, whether it's in one direction (cops let you go because they are star struck) or the other (you take a hit because you are rich and famous and the cops hate you for it or want to make a name for themselves). I think both of those things are complete bullshit and should never occur. Hell, Michael Jordan sped through Illinois every day in his Ferrari and kept autographed hats and sneakers and shit in the back to get out of tickets. That's bullshit.
I also think that it's bullshit that if you kill a cop, it's more serious than if you kill a homeless person. I don't think rich people should be able to negotiate their surrender. I don't think darker skinned people should get heavier sentences. I don't think anyone should be segregated for their safety because of who they are when others are being raped daily. I think everyone should be treated the same under the law.
If you really believe that if we treated a hearing, the court and the judge, like they were a joke, that we wouldn't have been given a jail sentence, then I guess we disagree on that. But if you think that any normal schmoe would get one for that kind of disrespect, then she should too.

well, yes. Except in her case she is apparently now at USC Medical Center, which is used by LA County jail for inmates with medical issues and which would have been the appropriate place to take her in the first place if she had a medical problem, not let her go home.

Culture shock, combined with detox, is serious. She needs a cute, rich doctor to administer the methadone.

Indeed. WWTDD says so.

More importantly, she gets some HIPAA privacy protection on her medical condition at USC. That's not as likely in county lockup.

Fantastic!
I read this in SFGate's Hilton story:
- Many of Hilton's several dozen supporters outside the courthouse appeared devastated.
"No! No! No!" Jake Byrd of Chino screamed as a court spokesman delivered the news to reporters outside court.
So I thought to myself, what a loser, and decided I would like to know more about Jake Byrd of Chino.
Here's what Google turns up:
- Anthony ("Tony") Barbieri is an American comedy writer whose work has appeared on television programs such as Crank Yankers and the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.
Born in Framingham, Massachusetts, his long-running Monroe series has appeared in more than 100 issues of Mad Magazine.
Jake Byrd
On the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, one of the things Barbieri is best known for is insinuating himself into major news stories, as a fictitious character. Among other names, he has called himself Jake Byrd when doing this. He has successfully fooled major media outlets, including The New York Times and Court TV.
One of his most recent famous stunts was posing as an obsessed fan at the 2005 trial of Michael Jackson. During the arraignment of Michael Jackson he fooled The New York Times. During jury deliberations, he similarly fooled Court TV, as the same character, with the same back story ([1]). The Jake Byrd character ostensibly works in a pet store in southern California.
He was heard screaming "No, No, No, No!" at the Paris Hilton News conference, when Paris Hilton was sent back to Jail for driving on a suspended License, on June 8th, 2007 and was referred to in news reports (without any mention of the fact that he was "performing") ([2]).

Well, I've followed it to the extent it has been on The Colbert Report or The Showbiz Show. I haven't followed it more than that because it doesn't fall within my narrow definition of "news".
But I did find out where Paris's house is today. It apparently is on Kings Road just north of Sunset (above the Saddle Ranch on Sunset). And the picture NFH posted of it makes it look fairly mansiony to me, but It looks bigger than 2700 sf too. The hillside location could have screwed up the usable space though, I suppose. Good news is that she'll be able to convert the garage to additional useable space if she keeps up the driving around without a license thing!
