Movies I See so Even RT Doesn't Have To.

License to Wed.

Should be revoked. Robin Williams doesn't chew the scenery enough to give it slapstick appeal. Mandy Moore does a decent job with her part, as does Jim Krasinski. But when the script gives them nothing to work with, there's nothing they can do.

When the high point of the movie is the guy who plays Kevin on The Office diving to the floor of a bar screaming "Potato skins down," it doesn't even rate a "wait until it comes out on cable."

RT could notice on her own that the movie stars Robin Williams, who hasn't been funny in 30 years.

That said, we saw him do standup at Bimbo's about a month ago, and he was a riot.

Wait til I tell him my tunnel joke.

eta: Maybe I'll use the fake "gay" voice to tell it. That never gets old.

Wonk, noted.

I recommend Ratatouille.

I also don't want to be here today. More so than on most days.

Is it because all of the smart people took today off?
Because that's the main reason I don't want to be here. And I'm seriously considering a career change. I don't know how many more days like this I can stomach.

And I recommend Fantastic 4, Rise of the Silver surfer. And I didn't even like the first one. It was better than the reviews, except that it's hard to believe the guy from Nip/Tuck as Dr. VonDoom. And Jessica Alba has a terrible wig and is not much of an actress, but she fits the uniform well.
But the special effects are good and the human torch is smoking hot, npi.

You would think she'd be a natural booking for a club named "Bimbo's"

The Princess and the Monster saw that on their own. I have to wait a week or so until he's ready to see it again.

She's working at the theater this summer, so Princess gets in to the movies free. She can also bring a guesst, so she brings her brother to induce us to give her the car. If only we could convnice them that college is just like a realllly long movie.

Sigh.

does that mean things are supposed to go badly at first, but it gets resolved, and by the end everyone is happy?
