I wouldn't have a fake one. And if they weren't asking $11,500, I'd have a genuine, orange one today.

I can't offer any helpful advice WRT your bag question. The photo, however, is another thing. I have a morbidly obese friend who has lost (and unfortunately gained) significant amounts of weight. The person in the above photo has lost weight and now has lots of loose skin. The only way to get rid of it is by having surgery.

These types of photos disturb me on many levels.

Indeed. It probably would have been better to just provide a link.

It's certainly helping the board to die a slow death today.

I should think, given that they were featured in the NYTimes style section some months ago, that even any wry social commentary provided by the faux bags is well past its sell-by date.

Here's a link to the story from the K&E website.

http://www.kirkland.com/firm/news/ar...D=104918202003

I bet both the paralegal and K&E attorney's wife have impressive Hermes collections, which may even include BnB's coveted orange Birkin.

Oh, were they? Missed that entirely. Yes, you are quite right, then, they are very very over.

Still, maybe not over enough to count them out for 60+ y.o. suburban/rural retiree mother/grandmother types .... Hmmm.

But it reminds me of a serious on-topic question I have. About jelly. Jelly handbags. I have noticed, of late, the strange appearance of fake Birkin bags,
is there a segue of the year catagory?

I honestly thought it was humorous sculpture. I never would have posted it had I known it was an actual person.

It still doesn't look real to me.

You know who's fucked?

Jayson Williams. That's who. Really really really fucked. Every day when I click on espn.com, I see something even worse, like "Williams told everyone to put deceased's prints on gun." If the jury thinks it was an accident+cover-up, what does he get?
