oh, and, as an aside, I have no real idea who the Ali Landry person is, but E says she was made famous by a Doritos Super Bowl commercial. C-list? I'm not sure she ranks that high.
Ali Landry is the girl in the laundromat who caught the doritos in her mouth, I think. She's hot, if I remember correctly.

If we occasionally do not, it's because we're being careless, not because we don't actually know what is right and what is wrong.

I guess that I send a lot of e-mails and I'm concerned about accuracy and grammae in them, so I proof my FB posts the same way.

P.S. There are numerous punctuation, capitalization and grammar errors in yours post.

I really hope that's true (raises eyes hopefully) -- but I think maybe it's not.

You would not believe the written material I receive from "educated" people. So much of it is rife with basic, 8th-grade-level mistakes, it is truly astonishing. A vast number of "educated" people have next-to no ability to write a simple declarative sentence. That is similarly bewildering.

Tell me about it. Like all those awful, unfunny posts from Penske that slither onto my computer and pollute it (even if ever so briefly) with his dismal funk.

My attempts to ignore him have been thwarted by his triple-secret admin powers and his puppet legion of socks, but one day I will be free.

E says she was also Miss USA at some point. I do recall the laundromat girl. Amazing that someone could become famous that way.

Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way!

Close. But I think this is more accurate:

TM: The name's Francis Sawyer, but everybody calls me Psycho. Any of you guys call me Francis, and I'll kill you.

Ironweed: Ooooooh.

TM: You just made the list, buddy. Also, I don't like no one touching my stuff. So just keep your meathooks off. If I catch any of you guys in my stuff, I'll kill you. And I don't like nobody touching me. Any of you homos touch me, and I'll kill you.

Paigow: Lighten up, Francis.

TM

At first, I was nonplussed by this, because I thought you were saying that "disrespect" isn't a word. However, now that I understand what you're saying, I would like to register my disrespect for that word's usage as a verb.

Though I feel compelled to note that I rarely hear that word used as a verb in conversation.

dtb, please. Inside the quotation marks! This is America! And, my dear, I can assure you that I understand all grammar rules. Your lust for me is well-founded, and our babies will be beautiful, use perfect grammar and punctuation, and be great lovers.[1] But I think that all the proles here still appreciate your recititation of grammar rules, so keep it up. Maybe they won't be proles anymore if they get some book-learnin'.[2]

[1] Please note use of the comma following the penultimate item in order to make conjunctive nature of penultimate item easier to read. This is a permissible use, and, for clarity's sake, I depart from my personal standard of omitting the penultimate comma in such cases.

[2] Please note intentional use of slang to belittle said proles.

Actual Fashion Question

Long-time lurker, finally decided to step up and start posting. I'll work my way up to the raunchier stuff eventually, but in the meantime, I have an actual fashion question:

For outable reasons, I am now forced to wear only flat shoes. Not surprisingly, most flats are dowdy. Anyone seen any that are not?

Thanks in advance. (And, yes, I'm female. If I had clue one about avatars, I would post one of Uma from the movie to make this obvious, but I haven't figured out how yet.)

* I hate this word.
I got ripped on by my first semester small group contracts professor-turned-highly-overpaid-author-of-overhyped-legal-thriller-set-in-upper-class-African-American-community for using "incent." After the third or fourth time I used it (it was rampant at the company where I'd worked before law school), he turned to me and said, "What is that word you keep using? What does it mean?" When I explained, he said, "I think you mean "induce."

Ass-face, but it's stopped me from using it.

2. Quite painfully obviously leagl and e/o are co-conspirators of seņor pukeske, maybe RT will have the cajones to take him on once and for all.

We can only pray.
