He was found guilty of dereliction of duty and ordered to forfeit $5,672 in pay. He's appealing.

I think you miscalculate. I'd say you have a solid 2, MongooseMan.

He's not going to be flying military planes anymore. If I were Canadian, I'm not sure I'd be happy that there wasn't more.

Wow, how illuminating. I've been wrong about Clinton all along. The guy was just being polite to an idealogical foe. Who knew?

Far worse happens in war zones, Ty. Remember, the guys we're fighting fly planes into buildings.

As for what the Canadians think, why not just wait until December and ask Slave?

The Chicago Tribune did a series of articles on Major Schmidt and the Illinois Air National Guard generally. As one might imagine, they weren't flattering.

As recently as last week or two weeks ago they were reporting multiple "mis-releases" (or something like that) in exercises over Wisconsin.

On the one hand, its a long way from a malicious intent. On the other hand, this asshole should have apologized personally to each family.

The big picture according to the Tribune was that its very difficult to have F-15 pilots training on a weekend basis. Well, not really just weekends, but not enough to keep a perfect edge.

I'm not positive, but I think the CO of the unit (if it was someone different) may have been subject to more harsh criticism.

Hello

Is December the time of the year when Canadians come out of their hole in the ground to see their shadow?

Best. Career suicide. Ever.

The Rudy G. of the West Saiiiiiide takes an inexplicable swan dive; calls an 11-year-old a "stupid, dirty girl" with cameras rolling.

Perhaps he should have been tortured by being forced to wear panties on his head or by having a dog bark at him.

In the news of the bizarre, Sam Donaldson's tax shelters are in the news:

how does the middle east spell disaster?

K-E-R-R-Y.

Ex-Kuwaiti Amb.: Kerry "catastrophic" for Mid East (AP)

It would be "catastrophic" for the Middle East if Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry was elected to the White House, a former Kuwaiti ambassador to Washington said in comments published Wednesday.

Sheik Saud told the daily that he feared a Democratic government would "fumble" when making decisions about the Middle East.

"Democrats are idiots and they don't understand foreign politics," the former official said. "Republicans are totally different."

Of course Kerry still has lots of foreign leaders supporting his bid for Presidency, like mass murdering thug Yasser Arafat and mass murdering dictator thug Kim the Younger Great One, and the Communists of REd China and the French. And bin Laden.

Actually they're looking for the Stanley Cup, which they haven't seen in a while...

Stop Him Before He Kills Again!

Three bodies found in a shallow grave on journalist and political commentator Sam Donaldson's ranch.

New Celebrity Trial Pool entry?

No, he's not a suspect...
