Billy Elliot, Beatiful Mind, Waiting for Guffman and Whale Rider should be in my mailbox tonight. Next up - I, Claudius.

The Station Agent was excellent.
Drumline was better than expected.
Jeremy Brett is the ultimate Sherlock Holmes.
I love Fry and Laurie as Jeeves and Wooster.
The original Ocean's 11 was a disappointment, but I really liked the ending.

I'm hoping to see Ray this weekend. Maybe a Sunday matinee, depend on which football games will be on up here.

Did I rave about Tarnation here? Go see it. It's very good, though Democrats shouldn't see it. They're depressed enough as it is.

I'm planning on seeing the Incredibles as soon as I can. I've wanted to see it since they released the trailer over a year ago.

Family homestead. Without the family.

I think that it is essentially a bbgun/air rifle/paintball gun kind of setup. Contrast with a projectile driven by explosion of gunpowder, like a traditional firearm. In this case, an extremely lightweight projectile propelled by compressed air/gas set-up. Projectile may break skin, but probably not. Seriously injury unlikely unless the projectile hits face/eye/ear/throar directly.

But I really have no idee.

May have posted this before, but what the hay. At the Monterey Bay Aquarium, there's a particular small tank on the second floor, near the kids' area, that has all of the fish from Nemo in it. The kids all crowd around now, finding Dorrie and Gill and so on. You can imagine an animator from Pixar, down from the Bay Area for the weekend, standing at the tank and getting the idea for a movie . . . .

That must have hurt

LOS ANGELES — A man was charged with trespassing after he stripped naked, scaled an airport fence, ran across the tarmac and climbed into a plane's wheel well before firefighters talked him out, officials said.

The man had earlier tried to buy a ticket for a Qantas Airways flight to Australia with only a credit card receipt. He told authorities at Los Angeles International Airport that he stripped off his clothes Monday to protest the airline's decision to deny him the ticket, airport spokeswoman Nancy Castles said.

Baggage handlers saw the man climb an 8-foot, barbed-wire fence that separates public and private areas of the airport and run to a departing plane as it backed from the gate. He climbed into a wheel well before the plane stopped.

The man, Neil Melly, 31, of Canada, suffers from bipolar disorder and had been listed as a missing person in Canada, Castles said.

I still don't understand how stripping naked is a protest to being denied buying a ticket if you have no money. And barbed wire? How did he get his nads over that?

Airport authorities will look into improving the fence, said Paul Haney, a spokesman for the agency that operates the airport.

I sense the next episode of LAX. Crazy naked guy scales the fence. Gets shot by drunk security guy. Has surgery to have his balls sewn back on.

Now that SM clubs in Germany are definitely off the list, I just don't know.

Just stay in the company of a dominatrix at all times. The article noted that none of the dominatrices was around, and that was why the guy shot a customer.

Were around.

But wait, if all the dominatrices were gone - what was all the noise?

Was he planning on shooting a dominatrix and had to settle for the customer? Any news on whether or not the victim enjoyed getting shot? He was at an S&M club after all.

Anne
Couldn't the neighbor have asked the dominatrices to make silence part of their demands?

Words to live by.

As for decent movies to see, Mrs. Not Bob and I watched "The Girl Next Door" on pay per view last night. Cute, but kind of a silly ending. We'll probably go see "Shall We Dance?" this weekend.

The Girl Next Door was a perfectly fine movie to watch while sitting in a hotel in some godforsaken part of the country with nothing better to do. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't recommend it under normal circumstances.

The blonde did have really nice tits, of course. That doesn't suck.

Just thinking about Shall We Dance? gives me the ickies, having seen the very good Japanese original. Richard Gere does not belong in that role. J-Lo does not belong in anything. Two wrongs don't make a right. I'd rather see The Girl Next Door again, assuming it's the unrated version.

I wondered about that too, but maybe by the time he found his airgun, went downstairs, got past the security check or reception desk or whatever, and found the room with the loudest howler, the dominatrix was off taking a pee-break.

But I'm really just responding to you to ask if your avatar is free tonight.

Do German dominatrices wear lederhosen.
