The locals pronounce it "Gurdy."
I've never heard Gurdy. Go-thee, with the th as in loathe.

Are you sure that it wasn't, "I'll put my pencil in you at 8:00 for an hour or an hour and a half."? That's pretty good stamina.

Would it annoy you if you were talking about Houston street to someone visiting N.Y. and they smiled condescendingly at you and corrected your pronunciation? And then told you how "cute" your accent is?
People are less afraid of getting shot in the South? I find that hard to believe.

Turns out it is a more general phase out of all Tivos. Here are a couple of cites.

I was thinking it was Sony-specific because a friend at Sony is the one who told us about the phase out. But I have been corrected by the person in my household who really understands all of this stuff. Contract through 2007, so should be okay until then. You'd think the news would result in a price lowering. I'd pay $500 for something that will be replaced by 2007, but $1k is a bit hard to swallow.

They haven't lowered the price because there's only one person who understands all of this stuff.

Well 2 answers really, but one involves festering bodies and mosquitos.

YOu need 2 to paddle the boat in a circle.

Photo from RP's GA World Tour

Here she is with Slave and ltl at the retirement community in Branson,

(I apologize for the unprovoked assault but I saw this pic, possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life and I just had to use it. First off, what is Blaysdowe doing with the two old braods? And what is that pose? Did someone with a camera say "Hey Blaysedow! Over here!" ? Its so out of place, its like Hank photoshopped him into a pic frrom Atlantic City Old Age home. And why is he walking around topless and greased in an area where old broads are walking around? Is he visiting his mother> Is he trying to arouse them? Scare them into an early grave? It just is so reCOCKulous that I may have to make it my avatar).

This picture is hysterical. And why is he always flexing? It's like he did the turn and pose while grandma was getting the camera ready. And where is this photographer? In a tree?

Get Thee to a Nunnery

Apparently, this is a "top-seller" for this year's prom season. Yikes!

I really really love the 90s.

Flinty, on the other hand, is only four points away from getting fucked from the Canadian, IYKWIM.

This is the new ratio.
If this is an attempt to stop me from posting as much, then dude, congratulations, it worked. Hats off to you. The pants are staying on though.

I don't think you quite caught that the Watermelons comment was a commentary on prior posts, but, yes, the Holmes reference was indeed offensive, and I apologize, especially to Hank.
