ACL update

This is not just any festival, Dale, this is ACL with the Texas FBers and selected special guests from near and far.
Not to mention good music.
Plus, I heard a wacky rumor that there is absurdly close parking adjacent to a pool available for this year's event.
|
I heard that rumor too. I also heard from the ACL website that they're announcing the lineup on Thursday. Coincidently, ticket prices go up on Thursday.

Everybody knows there's no point in brokering tickets for a show like that.
Springsteen in LA, on the other hand . . . I've got a good story about last night's show. Suffice it to say, this gamble was more Nowitski than Maroulis.

I've learned that fucking cute lesbians isn't all it's cracked up to be. At least, when there's only one of them present.

Television gods smile on RT
As much as I *heart* Jon Stewart, I *heart* Stephen Colbert.
And he's getting his own show!

Dude! late term of pregnancy gets tough on a marriage, but if you just maintain for the next few months and watch saying shit you'll regret for years, it'll be your golden anniversary before you know it!

What was his name? Damn. I can't remember....

Actually working slows down my reading of cyberchat. I'm not sure how some of the posters here do it, unless this is mostly a law student board.
Whatever, I am caught up now. My favorite posters are paigowprincess, hankchinaski, greatwhitenorthchick and mmmmm3587.
Least favorite: atticus and ltl/fb.
dumbest: shapeshifter.
TITs I would most like to see: ABBA
Ncs, I am not sure if I am getting an inside joke or not, but are you the same poster as notfromhere?
Lamest poster: still Thurgreed. Have you jumped the shark dude or were you always this lame?

Thanks! I apologize for not taking the time earlier to say "Welcome Newber!" I like the cut of your jib. Not since john123 have I felt the type of revving up that I have felt ever since your arrival to these boards. I know that some sourpusses like cranky old Thurgreed may be trying to rain on your parade, but don't you let his nonsense get you down. It is just his way. He's not too bright anyway.

More iPod/music collection ruminations
Let's start off with a trivia question. First right answer wins one of the CDs of which I've managed to accumulate more than one (probably "Heart" by Stars), or one of my crap CDs ("Fever PItch - the official music of the 2002 FIFA World Cup"), your choice.
Q. (and no googling). What "specially selected" pot cleaner is the best in the world?
Ok, other observations: When you play the "stick my iPod in my pocket and put it on shuffle and try to ID the artist/album" game, the toughest ones to get are songs from crappy soundtracks. I'm talking about YOU, Bad Boys II and Bones. Even good soundtracks (High Fidelity, Life Aquatic, Eyes Wide Shut) have tough IDs.
Aside from the "albums I've listened to a million times and know every note," the easiest bands to ID are Bright Eyes and the Decemberists. Flaming Lips and Eminem are pretty easy too.
Calhoun remains difficult to ID, as does Cam'ron.
Finally, Paigow, having my name in your sig line makes it more difficult to search for and locate posts where people are actually mentioning me. Would you be so kind as to change it? Thanks. Besides, I'll object that's it vague and ambiguous, seeing as how I got into Yale twice (and am going back for tenth reunion next month -- I'll provide a full report!)

So you're saying I should just not share with the board? What's the fun in that?
And things at home are fantastique. Home improvements are a great substitute for . . . other things.

Hey Yankee Nation
Are y'all worried that Kevin Brown's arm has fallen off? Aside from Pedro and Mussina, he was my favorite pitcher ever to watch in his prime. Even for one who has no love for the NYY, this is kinda sad.

If you recall, I had traded that has-been douchebag in the offseason to the Expos for a ham sandwich, then kicked his ass out of The Stadium.
The Yankees are better off forfeiting every fifth game and saving the bullpen, rather than letting that scumbag defile the pinstripes any longer.

I invented Cowboy-Junkies-as-fuck-tape. I can also confirm that it results in multiply orgasmic grad students.
I took a lot of shit from this from the women of the boards. I can only conclude that you are either not multiply orgasmic or you were never grad students.
