It's quite good. His dad is indeed a larger-than-life kind of character.
It's very much the family run business. Singing owner, singing waiters, belly dancer, various stuff. Food's very good. Entertaining, everyone makes you feel welcome. Lemme know if you ever get free, I'll take ya.

What is the name of that Italian place in Venice Beach where they pour the cheap chianti freely and sing "Thats Amore" every few minutes?

C&O Trattoria. Best gnocchi I've ever had.
eta: However, if you're in that part of town, Killer Shrimp in the Marina is a better place to eat. And really, really good.

Yes, if the message was "It's so and so, I'll call you later." No, if the message was "I'm in and out all day, and don't really know when is a good time, so I'll call you when I have time".
Hell, if someone is calling you, they shouldn't be annoyed if you reciprocate.

It worked out. Thanks!

At this point I think it's best to make clear that neither Lawtalkers nor its affiliates endorse the practice of mixing 30-40 valium, 10-15 xanax, 2-5 klonopin, however many over-the-counter sleeping pills you can buy without attracting undue suspicion, cough syrup to taste (for color and body) with 18-24 oz of small-batch Bourbon and (here's the kicker) 2-4 oz of Jagermeister in a standard kitchen blender and blending on a low setting (quite right about the froth problem). Serve over rocks . . . I mean don't. No no no. Sprig of mint is a nice touch.

Okay, now I never went this far with fringey and yet, I am still getting shit over it (from her) and, in the darker quieter corners of the board, occassional applause.
But the point is, when I suggest suicide, it creates a major shit storm. When the drunks do it, it's just a recipe swap. WTF?

I had completely forgotten about that. Thanks for the reminder! And nice touch of implying that there are various unidentified people who would really prefer me dead. Charming.
The difference was that ironweed and Ollie are funny about it, and you were just viciously, yet tediously, lashing out.
ETA see, like this isn't funny either; it's just pissy.
