I agree.
eta: I think McConnell would be a powerhouse on the court, though I tend to disagree with some of what he thinks.

JRB would be a fight, but a damn interesting one. Owens would get dinged in all likelihood.

Have heard that some Republicans oppose them behind the scenes, and so I suspect they would not be nominated for fear of losing the vote. The White House should be able to count votes as well as you and me, if they bother to do so.

Generally I think you are right, but Gonzalez is more qualified for a seat than this lady and he is Bush's people. Or how about Ashcroft?

Maybe Gonzalez didn't want the job. Attorney General is not a bad gig, and he just got there. Ashcroft is not one of Bush's people.

I knew he wasn't exactly a Bushie but the fight would be worth the price of admission.

I didn't say perjury wasn't wrong. As for whether or not it is an absolute wrong, I believe in very few absolutes. But that wasn't the point of my question. I had asked you if lying is an absolute wrong. You said that lying under oath was. All I'm trying to do now is clarify whether or not you believe lying when not under oath is an absolute wrong or not. What is your answer?

Am I to take it from this post that you believe God spoke to Bush?

Why would you not think perjury is wrong? Why can't the left admit its wrong? Is perjury legal in IL?

This must be a terrible blow to you. First, we agreed that God decreed killing to be an absolute Wrong. Now, presumably, for I see no other reason for you posting this, you believe God has told Bush that it's alright to kill.
Apparently, God is a moral relativist. Does this mean that you are now going to abandon absolutism?

God is not a moral relativist. He has absolute power. He makes the rules. It's sad that you would denigrate his authority with such mockery.
