You're right that most people don't know much about it, and that most people don't get all hot and bothered about old news like that.
However, they don't do that stuff if "nobody gives a rat's ass." For example, I am not a member of "the fringe left" by anybody's definition -- nor was Daniel Inouye for that matter [use Google] -- but I care about it.
Your continued ability to project your particular blend of elitism, cynicism, paranoia, and self-interest onto the world at large is fascinating.

That is not an irrational position -- but I disagree with its application here.

Exactly my point. I reach out to the liberals everyday but they don't want dialogue. They want to inflict their hateful bias upon America. Thank the babyjesuschristsuperstar W won't let them do it.

SAM you need to go back. I keep having this kneejerk reaction to get mean to you, and I like you. This did not happen pre-dumping old familar avatar.
balt, I know you won't listen to me, or anyone else who cares about you enough to give you valid advice, but you need to change your avatar. It doesn't suit you.

I'll think about it. I got bored with the old one.
Picture of the world from high above too peaceful for you? Do you like it better than the huge reptilian eye?

Another reason why America has not elected you as its CinC.
also, I really thought you were above that type of back handed insult. I now know what the babyjesuschristsuperstar felt like when Peter betrayed him 3 times.

All of the stock avatars suck. Go find something marginally more original.

Don't waste too many electrons on responding to post like that. He can be interesting when coherent, but that post is not a promising start to a thread.

Lemme get this straight... People are not ignorant about something, and never even ask about it, unless they really care about it?
On your second point, two people care. Where's that get you?
I am not paranoid.
BTW, its funny one who's projecting his own cares on the greater world would chide me for projecting a lacking of caring on it. I think my assumption is a tad stronger.

Tell it someone who gives a rats ass what you think.
Oddly enough, you won't find anyone who posts here to fit this description.

I thought I was being nice. Acknowledging that the other side of a position is not irrational is a comparative rarity here.
If you're at all serious, please explain what you think you read. I prefer my insults to be intentional -- if it was clever enough, I may use it again.

He confirmed what I suspected, which is that his own broadsides have nothing to do with the substance of my positions, only with the fact that I find his nonsense annoying and generally just ignore it. I'll wait for those coherent moments, but my understanding is that the awakenings tend to come less and less frequently as the disease advances, and last for shorter and shorter periods when they do come.
But, you are right, no need for more energy on this thread. Thanks.
