You are an unbearable, insufferable, bullheaded person who happens to be wrong.

It really was more of a "That is not quite right" than a whiff. My apologies.
See you at the knitting circle.

If I were a cynic, which I am not, I would point out that the vast majority of people would respond, during a word association exercise, to the word "impending" with the word "doom."
But as I pointed out above, I am not a cynic, although I may be becoming a wonk, and not in the old sense, just in the way behind sense. But I expect y'all will cut me some slack.

Bilmore's Raincoat Theory
Consistent with Bilmore's theory that pretty people can look good in anything, including a clear plastic raincoat, a recent study says that makeup doesn't make pretty women prettier. It makes other women look better. times article

Although I understand that Hank is being intentionally dim with this post, I will respond for the sake of the long-time-lurker-potential-newbers out there. First, let me start by welcoming all the potential newbers and expressing my sincerest hope that you will very soon become active participants in what The Paigow derisively labels the knitting circle. Second, as you may have figured out, and as Hank certainly knows, it is not the joy of correction posts that we hope will lure you out of your long-time-lurker status. Instead, it is the resulting mental discipline on the board, and consequent streamlined posting style, that we believe will attract you. I do not relish my role as school marm to the hasty, the half-assed, the inebriated. But I know that an easy-to-read board is all the more newber-friendly. Please bear with the correction posts. You will thank me and dtb soon enough for our efforts.
Always remember that each of my posts is an expression of my love for every single one of you.

Nah, plf and thurgreed may have more flames in them than a jug of napalm, but they've gotten soft in their old age, and aren't lighting people up like they used to.

That was not exactly what I meant. I was being just a touch more literal.

2 things
(a) I should not be at work until 9:30. I am in house.
(a)(i) OK, fine, I should have been more organized a month ago. Live and learn.
(b) I finally got an email trying to rip me off. Purported to be from amazon wanting to verify stuff, but was not. I feel so cool now.

The funny thing about you is that you are so completely unaware of how wrong you are that it can't even be explained to you. This happens often.
But I'm with you on the unbearable, insufferable, bullheaded part.
