I think you are wrong. I know that there have been several posters who have been driven away by her hateful attacks. Others have simply left because of the white noise she generates.
I find the protests of outing especially ironic, given her propensity for the same (it's hard to tell whether she is malicious or simply oblivious when she does it). I, personally, have had her post collections of facts about me that when viewed together would clearly out me to anyone who knows me personally even casually. Given that up until a few months ago I was one of the most private posters, this bothered me a great deal. During almost six years of posting, I've never had a similar experience with a single other poster. I suspect many other current and especially past posters can say the same.
I know that there are posters past and present on this board that fear her. Fear her insanity. Fear that she will lash out and violate the trust that is this board and out them -- not on the board, but to bosses, spouses, friends directly -- in some petty act of revenge.

In the interest of explaining to newbers, we should mention that Daintiest Petunia did not leave as a result of any alleged hacking or disclosure of personal information. That could create the impression that such hacking is commonplace here. Such an impression might well have a chilling effect on any long time lurkers getting ready to post.
No, DP left because frankly it was a 1 joke sock that stayed to create a string on banality that has yet to be approached, let alone equaled. What's curious is that I don't remeber any of Flower's "correction" posts being directed at DP. Soft spot?

He better get used to single-season Ricky-Williams-rookie-year-performance-based type deals. He is a moron. Plain and simple.

'Pregnancy, Cats and Schizophrenia
filed under Schizophrenia Causes, Risk Factors & Prevention
Another research study has been published that supports the theory that the risk for developing schizophrenia can be increased if a pregnancy mother is exposed to the toxoplasmosis virus (commonly carried by cats).
The study noted that Individuals with schizophrenia were 2.42 times more likely than controls to have been exposed to high Toxoplasma levels.
This taxoplasmosis link to schizophrenia is a theory that Dr. E. Fuller Torrey initiated (I believe) over a decade ago - and the data supporting it continues to be published.
The key message here is that when a person is pregnant they should avoid cats (and not share a house with cats) - as well as other points that should be considered for schizophrenia prevention.
Source: Am J Psychiatry 2005; 162: 767–773
Study findings have shown that maternal exposure to toxoplasmosis may increase a child's risk of developing schizophrenia as an adult.
"Given that toxoplasmosis is a preventable infection, the findings… may have implications for reducing the incidence of schizophrenia," say Alan Brown (New York State Psychiatric Institute, USA) and colleagues.
Toxoplasmosis is known to adversely affect fetal brain development, the researchers examined the relationship between maternal antibody to toxoplasmosis and the risk of schizophrenia.
They note that toxoplasmosis is a potentially preventable infection, with standard obstetric practice recommending that pregnant women minimize their exposure to Toxoplasma, which includes the avoidance of cat feces and the ingestion of undercooked meat.
Thus, "these results may have implications for the prevention of schizophrenia," the team concludes.'

Given her exile, it seems sort of wrong and petty to continue to snipe at and slanderise her. Why not remember the good things and move on? Or as my grandmother used to say, "If you can't say anything nice, then SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
eta: Why so much hate?

1 All posters are not equal. Paigow, while nuts, is really funny. We don't need to lose funny people.
2 Several people have probably driven away posters with repeated attacks. I don't think she is the meanest poster- or even the most dogged once in attack mode.
3 She posted here for years, yet I've never heard her outing anyone, contacting someone's boss, etc. If she had wouldn't you expect to have heard?
And making a laundry list of things you've told everyone about yourself is not outing. She has this remarkable memory for previously posted details. To me, a big part of her humor is remembering something from a post 2 years ago. I don't think that is a fault, or somehow wrong, do you?
There are posters I like who are in blood-hate feuds with her. But feuds exist beyond her, they can't all be eliminated.

Hell, I could have written this. Agreed on all points.
The laundry list sort of thing can be an outing tool, if done with that intent (see, e.g., the ancient fable of Latrell Spreewell and Transition Defense). That's not Paigow's schtick. She remembers stuff and posts it when it's funny, not in any effort to out anyone. If you're worried, don't post personal stuff. Or make shit up.
I'm only aware of one instance where someone's boss was contacted. By Cornhole. Because of Penske. See, this is really all Penske's fault.
