Nirvana unplugged and KISS Alive are 2 of the best CDs ever.
I wouldn't call either one punky.

Duh. Frampton Comes Alive. Was there ever even a studio version of "Do You Feel Like We Do?"
2 to Not Bob for Cheap Trick and Lyle Lovett. I'd add the Kinks, both of Robert Earl Kean's live albums, Johnny Cash's Live at San Quentin, and all of Yonder Mountain String Band's live work.

Sometimes, it's the spontantious interaction of the performers and the audience that make music magical. The studio can tempt an artist to become too refined, too perfect, until they've beaten the soul out of the music.
Like your Guernica posts: once you had 50 different cuts of the same thing, it became technically proficient, but lacked the zing of your one-offs.
That's why "Get Back" was the best recording the Beatles did in their last 3 years.

Nirvana unplugged is unplugged. And when you say Kiss you not only discredit your music opinions, you also discredit the posts where you say you wouldn't live in a neighborhood where there are lots of pick up trucks. No offense.

It's a Chicken Run tribute.

Stop Making Sense probably should not qualify as a live album. They did too much touch up work in the studio afterwards.

Are you saying that unplugged is not live? How is unplugged which is performed live before an audience different from live performed in front of an audience?

Actual Fashion Related Question--WATCH NEGOTIATING
So, if someone is looking at a watch with a $3400 retail price tag, how much can one expect that to drop?
Thanks

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Are you agreeing with his other choices? If we go ahead and meet wonk in Chicago, we need to get him to agree beforehand that one of us gets to pick the music for the car ride in from the airport. did they even put the Allman Brothers on CD? Why?

Please pay attention: I quickly agreed that acoustic music is often okay live. I don't know Wilco- are they an acoustic group?

Given your disdain for my nine minute Police song and now this, I'm beginning to understand that it may be a short attention span problem rather than a live recording problem.
