I need to clean up some old business.
Remember when I said gas
"should be $5.00 or more a gallon. Keep raising the taxes until this country is broken of its dependence on the Arabs. We will know the price is high enough when Hummer goes out of business."
and Sebby replied:
"Dissent, brother. I still don’t pay much attention to gas prices. I’ve just taken to running all my gas bills through the wife’s business. And if I couldn’t do that? I still wouldn’t get all pissed about it. I mean, really... gas is like water. What am I going to do? Go out and buy a Prius? Try driving that in the Winter up here. High gas prices are just one of those things I lament, along with death, wrinkles, having a job and paying taxes. In fact, gas is like taxes. You do everything you can to avoid paying, but when you have to pay, fuck it. Its just a cost of doing business, and there’s no use griping."
I would like to gloat and direct y'all to http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...sn=001&sc=1000 . Excerpt:
"The sales spiral of the Ford Explorer demonstrates shifting public tastes. Once one of the nation's most popular vehicle of any type, Ford sold fewer than 12,000 Explorers last month, 52 percent less than in November 2004.
At the height of the SUV boom in 2002, Ford routinely sold 25,000 to 40,000 Explorers a month.
Ford is looking to offset the weakness in trucks with more sales of passenger cars, including the Ford Fusion and Lincoln Zephyr.
GM also felt the SUV crunch. In November, sales of the Chevrolet Suburban and Cadillac Escalade dropped 46 percent and 48 percent, respectively, from November 2004."

There Was a Recruiting Scandal When Maharishi U. Signed a Sannyasi Whose Eligibility Had Expired: Sadly there is no football team at Maharishi University in Fairfield, Iowa. Founded by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Maharishi University offers business and computer science degrees, plus a minor in world peace, which helps you "develop your own consciousness and simultaneously develop world consciousness." There are no intercollegiate sports, but the college athletics department does have rock climbing and ping-pong.

That's the nice thing about following the Texans. Low expectations leave little possibility for disappointment.

You still had to hate what happened this past Sunday, though.

It was just a new and interesting way to lose. Gotta hand it to them: They are creative.

Link because the image fucked up the margins.

After what happened the week before, it was totally painless. Expected, even.

A person who I watched games with this week claims that they (the Texans) are now throwing games intentionally in order to get the best draft pick. He used the end of the last two games as his examples. Seems possible, but I refuse to believe that the team would hang Capers out there like that. Unless they think his fate is already sealed or something, I guess.
Mr Man is very happy if they are trying to lose, b/c he had stupid Baltimore in an elimination pool this week. I hate Baltimore. They can suck it. (residual Super Bowl anger.)

Good to see that Hil is conserving energy by keeping the temperature down in her office.
I bet Bill puts a framed 8x10 of that photo on his desk.

I've seen them live many, many times this season. They're really that bad. It's breathtaking, really.
