Um, it's not like I brought the subject up. Talk about bitter and joyless. L.A. has done bad things to your psyche. I miss the Texas ncs. Full of verve and spice and panache and joie de vivre and je ne sais quoi and stuff. <sniff>
Whatever, I'll join in on the fascinating soup thread. Pho is definitely the most healing soup, but I am skeptical that you can find real Pho made with vegetarian broth.

Just because you went to Vassar and Harvard Law does not make you smart. If you check online, you will see that Harvard Law accepts many times the number of students that schools like Yale Law accept. Lots of dolts are bound to slip through the cracks. Long story short - you are no str8.

I heard the Waitresses do "Christmas Wrapping" on the hipster satellite radio station yesterday. I had forgotten about that song, and hearing it was like a having little flashback into the mind of a younger Not Bob, and hanging out with the punk rock girl in 1982.

Transit Strike
Got this e-mail earlier today:
Quote:
Anyone wishing to ride their bike to the office during the Transit Strike, will be allowed to park it in the courtyard on **** street, where a guard will be posted from 7:00am until 7:00pm. Upon arrival, check in with the guard who will issue a "check" ticket with a number. This ticket has to be returned to the guard in order to claim your bike when you are ready to leave.
It is recommended that you bring a lock for your bike.
|
Anyone who thinks that I will be pedaling my big hairy white ass into Midtown Manhattan tomorrow morning in the freezing rain will be allowed to kiss said ass. No ticket necessary. That is all.

Is eating alone at Chinese restaurants instead of steakhouses part of the LessinSF Early Retirement Scheme? I just want to know before I buy into the whole program.

I often wish this forum was not anon so that I might learn what educational institutions you attended, and then, when the time comes, direct my children to those schools.
I should also let you know that I am somewhat hurt by the personal attack. I made a post to let others see how I perceive your posts. That is solely how I interpret what you post- I surely did not mean to imply it is, or is not, accurate to how you are IRL- it is just subjectively how you appear to me.
You reply with a coarse personal attack. I really didn't deserve that.
Can we start over, as friends?

Word to the wise, Flower. I have learned from more than one tearful episode that Hank's offers of friendship are seldom sincere.

Chicken soup actually has specific proteins and amino acids that are particularly effective at fighting viruses.

There is no such thing as real pho with vegetarian broth. I think that RT simply meant that one could order pho without added meat.
Vegetarian pho is a lot like a compassionate Hank; purely imaginary and a cruel joke to those who really care.

Does this mean that Howard Stern's big farewell bash is going to be cancelled?
