I thought it would be fun to do at a party or bar or something. He is not into it - says that he would be too self-conscious to do something like that in public. I rolled my eyes when he said that to convey that I thought he was being lame.
Is he being lame or am I just too demanding?

I think he scared for your health. Has he ever ridden the bus with you? Maybe he thinks you would be overwhelmed.

Is it pretty quiet?
ETA it might be most fun at dinner with your parents, or his parents, or something.

I think she should wear it and keep the controller with her and make it obvious (to him) when she's using it. That'll show him.

Need more information. Was he really innocent, and is he white, black, or other?

I think that's a good idea. Although with parents it could get tricky, because I always feel about 5 years old when parents are there. But I think I might just do it and see what he does. Ha. The remote is very small - would easily fit in a pocket.

Make sure you have an exit strategy. It's no good getting all turned on if you have to sit through two more hours with someone's parents.

I'm sure they have guilt pangs about that case, but they can hardly be blamed for it. And I definitely don't see why their work as a whole should be called into question (and that's exactly what you were doing). Should they throw up their hands and say, "Well, this doesn't work. Everyone is going to commit a heinous crime at some point in their lives, so it doesn't matter when they do it. Let 'em all rot, guilty or not-yet-guilty."
So, maybe you can tell us if your points consisted of something deeper than (i) it isn't always black people and (ii) I hope those meddlesome professors are happy with their work freeing innocent people.
Because if there isn't, it would seem like you were just upset because some prick raped and murdered your friend's friend. And, while that is certainly understandable, I still don't get what it has to do with turning over false convictions.

1 After reading Thurgreed's first post i googled, and imaged the names of the relesed guys. the first four were black guys and I quit,
2 That one released guy might do a crime isn't surprising- the cops often start by looking at the pool of people who had done similar crimes- especially in sex offenses. Doesn't change the fact that the guy didn't do the last one. Maybe these guys should argue if you seem the sort that might do sex crimes we can lock you up, but by the current law the guy needed to walk.
3 do you think being in jail for a few decades might make a previously decent person capable of doing bad things?

Cool enough.
I would probably direct part* of the blame at the team of people who initially put him behind bars who, quite possibly,* may have turned him into a violent, angry person -- especially towards women.

That sounds like fun. He's just a stick-in-the-mud. Can I play?

More than 50% of the population of death row. It got a great deal of national attention in the press. Took a lot of guts on Ryan's part, even if he was a lame duck facing inevitable indictment.

It seems like someone you would date would possibly be just evil enough to want to use it at a parentally supervised event.
And I personally don't see a problem with getting all turned on and having to delay resolving the issue for a couple hours. But I may be weird.

Thong underwear has always made me feel sort of trashy. I suppose that's part of the appeal, though, n'est-ce pas?
Blowjob stories are better when they involve trashy panties, I admit.

I was thinking this same thing. And I agree with you. You can't just put someone away because they're in that class. Or because you couldn't prove it the last time around and now you're pissed about it.

Yes. Hell, he might think he has a freebie coming to him after 15 years (or whatever). I also think that if we was raped in jail, that might add to how screwed up he became. I also think that putting someone in a climate filled with criminals talking about crime would tend to make one (i) desensitized to it and (ii) pretty good at it.
All that said, the guy who was released is, of course, still responsible for what he did. And a piece of shit.
