Fuck him. Anyone who wrestles alligators, grabs poisonous snakes by the tail, picks shark's teeth and dangles their infants in front of crocodiles deserves whatever mortal danger they put themselves in. He'll be completely forgotten in 6 months.

If he had died while riding his beloved motorcycle without a helmet we'd say "sad, but what a fucking idiot."

If he'd died from blood loss after an enraged gator bit off his testicles, I'd have written exactly that. But there's no assumption of risk here. In fact, while I'm overusing the term, I'll add that's another tragedy here - a guy who should have provided excellent fodder for such a riff robbed the world of jokes by getting whacked by a stupid floppy fish cattle on Disney cruises swim with and pet all the damned time. It's like Robert Downey choking to death on a gummi bear. It's all wrong... begs a "do over."

I have come to bury Sebby, not to praise him.

His posts were long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
who knows where
But he's gone
Gone off into middle age
He ain't Sebby; he's now TaxWonk

Agreed. They deserve to get eaten by a fucking gator, not taken into the cheap seats by a fuckin' frisbee-with-a-stinger fish.

You know what's a tragedy? When you're in a crowd and you fart out loud.

It's okay, Sebby. There were a whole lot of people who were upset when Jerry died.
Apropos of nothing, did you know that Jerry owned the film rights to Kurt Vonnegut's The Sirens Of Titan for many years?
|
Actually, I thought he owned rights to a few Vonnegut books.
But in regard to Jerry, it was more than time for him to go. I'd say after those great shows in 91,' he was pretty much done. There's an intensity to those shows, and particularly the Black Peters I've heard from them, where you can almost sense in hindsight that he wanted to be done with it.
Or maybe that's just the mid-range weed talking...

You don't fool us with this "The real tragedy is that he was not devoured by crocs" Sebastian. We have seen the weepy, sentimental, "All I'm saying is that he was a good egg and shall be sorely missed" Sebastian. Your reputation here is forever altered. Don't backpedal now, you'll only appear the fool.

The same could be applied to cats and dogs, which I don't think ought to be eaten.
A cow's different than a cat or horse. Cats and horses are capable of affection and such. Cows are fucking useless.
People tell me pigs are smart, but I haven't looked into it.

If I had not turned over a new leaf, I would use my Barbaro sock to post a rebuttal.....
speaking of which, anyone know how Barbaro is doing?

You've bested me now, and I most assuredly look the fool. But I will be back, you crafty bastard. You just wait.

It's not the age. It's the sleep deprivation.
