Sometimes I think so, sometimes I'm not sure. I know enough lawyers who could easily retire, and maintain their current lifestyles right through the day they die -- yet they keep on working. I have a few colleagues in this boat, and I've dealt with some other lawyers on cases I've had (espeically plaintiff-side class action guys who hit it big, repeatedly), and they keep on working and very happy about it.

Maybe they're senior enough to make everyone else deal with the bullshit, maybe they just like the sense of what they've accomplished and built and want to further that.

I hope that when I'm their age, I have that same sense (and the accomplishments to back it up). Or, I have enough cash to make the choice that they are not making. Either/or, I'm flexible.

Dude, you miss the point. She isn't insecure. If someone says she's not pretty, then they're a liar. If someone doesn't like the person she is, it's because they are jealous of her. She is the opposite of insecure. She is completely positiviely secure. Her opinion of herself is high because, well, how could it not be?

I'm sure Arpy is seething right now. Believe you me, she won't sleep tonight, but will lie awake dwelling on the secret identity of the person who told you that someone else said that she's "not all that." The horror! The horror!

Well done. You go, girl.

Though the Siddette has no need of being "woken up." My day starts with the 5-o'clock Howling.
The presence of the Brazenette (or the Fringette analog) kills my interest in bnb's lifestyle. I think I would eventually get very depressed with that lifestyle.

the guys I know fit this bill. They go fuck off all day, while drawing pay, and let the little guys work the cases up. if they get bored they show up for a dep or argument or whatever.

one ot the guys who have rang the register plenty on contingency cases ruined my best recent day:

I had tried and won my first contigency case and settled it. the settlement was low 7 figures (not the firm's take the whole thing) but we stepped in late and it was a great feeling- and was really a very nice payday- as I say my first contingency.

The day the money got wired, I read this knucklehead had gotten a $165 MILLION verdict against Microsoft.

He'll still go to work, because "going to work" includes going to London next week if he wants.

Why is that the key? None of these people are part time. All of them have made many millions. Those I know have plenty of hobbies, great family lives, etc. All enjoy life very much. They just don't do it the way you say they should.

FWIW right away I started PMing my friends to see who it was. RP, already all of my friends have confirmed it wasn't them. That narrows it down to Taxwonk or Ty- Sidd can you PM them?

Believe me. I may have lied about TM but this one was not a lie. And it will make her twist. not since she is so into being rated as pretty but for the betrayal it implies.

fallen

the lack of punctuation and use of "words" like "ya" has pushed me to the use of Burger's button. Not that I won't read sometimes, I just want it to be a conscious decision.

I thought she said she was insecure, but she may just have been projecting extreme security, or I may have been hallucinating after too much anchovy pizza at bedtime.
