I wasn't much a fan of the cheeseheads, when they were here. The Vikings fans weren't all that much fun either, but that was a damned good football game.

I remember you saying that the GB fans were bad news at the time. Which is funny because I went to a game at Lambeau and they were all very nice to me even though I was wearing Giants parapernalia. On the way into the stadium, someone yelled at me "Hey, Giants fan!" and I had one of those should-I-turn-around moments. When I did turn around, he yelled "Is Shockey playing today?" Then in the stands, the people behind us were asking for advice as to which Giants player to take in a bet amongst them as to who will score the most points in the game. I told the woman behind me to take Tiki and she actually high-fived me everytime he scored (which was a lot).
Also I am partial to one cheesehead in particular, but I don't think I would let my high opinion of him sway me if the rest of them were all asses. I have a low tolerance for sports assholes.

But seriously, these people start tailgating for breakfast on Thursday. And by Friday, you can't even light a match anywhere near the parking lot. By Sunday, a lot of these people have puked 3 times, slept in their Silver and Black, put on their makeup and spikes, roll a couple for the end zone, slam a few shots and then get ready for pre-game. It's the only stadium I've been in where the only concessions are hot dogs, nachos and tequila.

The theme of my sister's 30th birthday party is "Let's Get Physical" and guests are highly encouraged to wear 80s workout gear. I am hoping to see some people attired in zubaz, so I'm sort of selfishly glad they still make it.
Party is in October if anyone is interested in wrangling an invite...

I am debating on whether or not to make the trip up to Dallas to watch the only game I really care about this season. I fear for my physical health, though.

Anywho, you should have heard the yelling and taunting going on at that table during the first quarter of the game. TO is the greatest/Cowboys are going to kill everyone they play, etc. I was semi-watching the game on their tv because ours was set to the Packer game (sorry, Mr. Man) and I had Fred Taylor active yesterday. I cannot tell you how happy I was to see Jacksonville shut them the hell up. It was a wonderful three quarters of listening to the assholes say pretty much nothing.
ETA: How about a poll - Most obnoxious pro football fans? I have a split vote between Cowboys fans (when they are winning) and Vikings fans. I have no idea why Vikings fans are so annoying, but I have seen them in action on enough occasions, that I don't just chalk it up to a fluke in the Vegas sportsbook.

Eagles fans are pretty bad. But the new stadium's crab fries are awesome.
I am having a hard time staying focused for a football game lately. Too many flags, breaks in the action, reviews, etc.

the new "savior" getting booed in his very first game is a new record for the Lions.

Dallas fans won't hurt you. Merely annoy the hell out of you. If that makes you feel better.

Caveat Emptor. Besides, he's used to it.
That's what you get for taking limp-armed leftovers. Have you seen the guy in an interview? You wonder how he gets dressed in the morning. That said, he's a damn sight better than Joey Harrington at least. And probably a whole lot better than Alex Smith.

OooH! Ooooh! Me! Me!
I assume the invite includes a trip to the Landing Strip and the nearby revival? I mean, this should be a full tour kinda experience. (Last time I was in Austin, EvenOdds took me to lunch at the stadium for the full experience.)

Hey!! No insults about Alex Smith please. He had more completed passes than interceptions yesterday -- I'm pretty sure that's a first for him.

$14,000 a day for holding out. Ain't that some shit? I know we've discussed this already, but it's like the players in the NFL are consistently held over a barrel.
I can't wait til I finish reading this crap book I have now so I can start on $40 Million Slaves, which sounds interesting.

Actually, I was really rooting for him yesterday. That hail Mary at the end of the game had a shot.
I'd like to see the Cardinals and their damn new "house" get kicked in the ass by youse guys. Maybe at home they'll have a better shot.
