What did I do?

What if Beeks had read it before, and reviewed it again after the switch. He would have known about the change, and tipped off the Dukes.
Of course, all Beeks needed to do was call with the contents of the report--it was all of one or two sentences when read at the news conference.
But the brilliance of the movie goes beyond the plot and dialog. Consider two examples:
1) The opening sequence, contrasting the life of the Dukes with the life of Billy Ray, all set to the overture from the Marriage of Figaro (it's an opera).
2) The use of the hanging portraits in the main room of the Heritage Club when Beeks frames Winthorp--each of the portraits is captured to appear to be looking with disdain at Winthorp.
|
Beeks, while an all-purpose kinda guy, didn't come off as the type who would review the contents of a briefcase he thought he had in his possession at all times, a second time.
But I'm with you on the brilliance of the movie on all levels. I just don't understand why Billy Ray is wearing a sweater on the beach at the end.

Exactly. But I don't think I'm increasing the expense.
You are right. I should stop.

Win-win!
Burger, can you get packages at work? ETA yes, they would get delivered to the mailroom. Especially at my old office, which was not accessible to the hoi polloi.
We do seem to be allowed to get flowers.

Apropos of nothing, Real Genius never gets enough credit.

Doesn't get enough credit for having one of the worst child actors of all time get completely upstaged in every scene by Val Kilmer, as well as the "That Guy" who played Dr. Jerry Hathaway?
Mitch sucked in ways previously unknown to man.
I've known girls who were not dissimilar to the crazy girl though. I went out with a prettier version of one -- a Cal Tech PhD. Go figure.

If I was (a)________ I would (b)________.
(a) insert: Canadian / in LA / not as dumb as a box of rocks
(b) insert: know who Dane Cook is / borrow observational comedy from professionals instead of attempting to generate it from my (c)________ life
(c) insert: boring / blogtastic / pancake-fueled

Here he is now:
In 1985, he had an uncanny resemblance to Sarah Jessica Parker.
