If they appear hurt, console them.

I think the point was, if you had preferred no sex to bad sex it would seem, and maybe I am naive, that the "no" part was in your control.

Personally I would take almost any sex (with living conscious women of legal age and capacity) over no sex, so I likely would never find myself in the above dilemma, but I am easy.

Ah. I see your point.

Every x number of times, I think "I have to do this, so that he'll leave me alone for a while."

Eventually, I got divorced.

To which I replied "Really? Then why'd I pay all this money for these new tits?"
So what'd he say?

eBay question

Does anybody here have any experience with eBay disputes?

Last month, I bought a 3 quart saucier on eBay. It was a gift for me but I did the actual purchasing. The pan came in a box marked as a 3 quart pan. It looked sort of small to me but I didn't think much about it because sauciers are wide pans. The other day, I discovered that the pan only holds 2 quarts of liquid. I emailed the seller but so far haven't heard back.

Do I have to suck it or is it worth trying to pursue? I am thinking of a credit for the difference between the cost of a 2 quart pan versus a 3 quart, since I've been using the pan for a month.

Well, if the person being corrected has expressly asked for correction (I missed that part), you can say "I think you mean ____, don't you? 'Irony' is pretty limited, and really only means [a disjunction between what is said and what is meant, the appearance of a situation and the truth, or the intent of an action and its outcome - or however you want to define it]."

Don't do it in front of others - wait until she uses it with you alone, or talk to her alone later and say "I didn't want to say anything in front of the others, since I'm sure they didn't notice anyway, but since you asked me to help you improve your vocab & pronunciation, I figured ..."

BR(noting for the record that a pretense of ignorance used to expose the true ignorance of another is the classic example of Socratic irony ... so my methods are really teaching by example)C

eta:Yes, TM, our planes of existence surely don't overlap at all, but, even though you have now asked, I will only correct you if there is still something you can immediately do about it to save further embarassment. I'll tell you about the spinach in your teeth and the t.p. on your shoe, but not about your mismatched socks and '70s porn star 'stache. Bad grammar usually falls into the category of "nothing to be done about it," because once it's been said, the damage is done.

Got it. Makes sense, although, in contrast to that approach, I find it shocking the number of married couples with whom I am aquainted who have sexual relations with each other less than say 6 times a year.....and are also not getting it on the side. And are only in their mid 30s.

I had that happen.....I apologised and moved on, although some people find it hard to apologise. No pun intended.

Do you interview them separately to determine this? Because I know couples where I could have this conversation with one party or the other, but not many where I could have the conversation with both halves.

Then again, I am shy that way.

At this point is it possible to mutually exclude them?
