I have a home phone that I don't answer. I have no idea who calls on that line. No answering machine. We used to get notifications when it was ringing through the dvr, but I somehow disabled that feature. When we got those notifications, it was alwys either the Nielson Ratings people or blocked ID. Exciting stuff.

The only reason I have a home phone is to buzz people in through the gate.

We have it for the satellite tv. And I've used it a few times for taking conference calls for work. Last I knew we didn't have long distance service on it, but calling 800 numbers for conference lines works fine.

I have a VoiP phone that I use for my regular home number. I also have a traditional land line for my Tivo, my alarm system and in the event of power outage caused by hurricane. And a cell phone.

Have I mentioned that I have a love/hate relationship with my cell phone? It's so pretty I really want to love it... but it's so hard to use that I have to hate it.

I don't know if you'd call it taunting or warning, but you are missing out on the "I'm in the house watching you right now" call if you ever have a serial killer monster break in.

Huh. I've never called the callers back to tell them they have the wrong number. I sort of agree with NFH here. Not really my problem.
Our home phone line has a problem somewhere between the line and the curb, one which we are too lazy to fix, with the result that you can't have a conversation because you can't hear anything for all the interference. As a result, we do not use the home phone at all. Most people know to call our cell phones. One friend never remembers, so he calls the home line, and we see who he is and call him back on the cell phones.

For weeks, we were getting phone calls from a collection agency, for a person whose name I didn't recognize. I finally called them and told them that we didn't know this person, and the calls stopped.

This is possibly the least interesting post I've ever written, although I recognize that's a high bar.

This is why I have not cancelled my land line, though I'm not yet hooked up on the new buzzing up system, and have to go down to the lobby now.

Methinks there was some photoshopping here. Either that or the postioning is very strange. It does not appear as though she could walk given the proportions of her pelvic region.

I am checking out the area that surrounds her black hole of happiness, but I don't quite get what you mean.

Lessons learned by RT so you don't have to.

When being dropped off at your building after lunch, make sure that the sash that is tying your wrap dress together does not accidently get stuck in the car door. Otherwise, the car will drive away, untying your dress, and leaving you in the awkward position of running after the car in four inch heels, banging the window with one hand to get them to stop while trying to keep your dress together with the other.

I will try to keep this in mind.

I learned all the lessons I needed on this subject from installment six of Flower's lessons series, "Guys Who Wear Dresses To Work," but thanks anyway.

I do not disagree about photoshopping, but I do not understand what you're talking about when it comes to her pelvic region.
