Sometimes it takes me 12 minutes to get to work. Sometimes it takes me 35.
So kiss it, bitches.

Wouldn't it be funny if crows did not actually fly in straight lines, but instead tended to zig and zag all over the place? Or, even better, if crows tended to follow man-made roads when going from point A to point B? That would really turn that old expression on its head!

But I will not stand idly by while you lump that silly bitch in with the rest of us. We all voted and she is not a New Yorker. It was unanimous. We gave her back to Boston since even New Jersey refused to take her on.

OMG! Boston and NYC are pretty much equivalent to me! What a coincidence!!!!! SF is the west coast version.

If I'm walking fast, it takes me 10 minutes to get to work. Other times I take it easy and sometimes stop off for vitaminwater or something. Then it takes about 15-20.
I think I win!

You may win, but not on a percent-of-total-commute basis. Fringey has your skinny ass kicked on that front.

Hot, desert-y, and fighting all the time. Same difference from the perspective of actually being there. I'm not talking about the geopolitical importance, just the degree to which I don't like places.

I quite like it here. I like my neighborhood homeless person -- apparently he is starting a website(!), I don't drink coffee so I don't encounter moody Starbucks people, and I tend to forget about mean people pretty fast, so I am a winner in my own mind. That's what's important. Sounds to me like you are a winner in your own mind too, fringey.

I miss the homeless guy from Starbucks -- when CCA moved, his take went WAY down and he seems to have relocated. My Starbucks people are the opposite of moody; generally they seem happy to see me and I get free drinks and stuff sometimes.
I rarely forget about mean people, though.
I think ppnyc is a winner in her own mind, too. In a sense. The winningest victim.

I sure hope hat is a euphemism here.
