I thought the original metaphor was "scream like a banshee" because banshees are know for wailing, right? But "clean like a banshee" or "cook like a banshee" doesn't seem to make much sense.
The Mantis roller coaster at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio was originally supposed to be named "Banshee" upon its debut in 1996. After realizing the negative meaning of the word, park executives decided to change the name and destroyed all promotional items containing the "Banshee" name.
Banshee was used as a name for a General Motors series of show cars for its Pontiac Division, the first appearing in 1966. Reportedly, the name was to be used on the Pontiac Firebird, but GM executives thought better of using a name meaning a "screaming spirit of death" on one its products.
Shape Shifter originally was going to choose the sock name "Banshee" when he registered. He changed to SS, when he realized a banshee is a female spirit, and he wanted to start out with his "slave stories" which required a male voice.

I think Tasmanian Devils are messy.

Apropos of which, I've noticed that lots of baseball teams are "scuffling" lately, much more than before.

Wear a dust mask?

In other news, how about David Millar (TdF rider - one that hasn't been kicked out. Yet.) is allergic to the sun. Due to the anti-doping rules, he can't take any treatment either.

One thing I've noticed with the Yanks is the overuse of the term "battled" it is very annoying.

They change up the announcers as well. But Torre over-uses it as does Jeter.

I was looking for an answer that sounded more like "stay at home, don't work, but get paid."

Millar's been such a vocal opponent of doping since coming back from his ban that if he's doping and gets caught, then just write off professional cycling.
