I get an 86. And the two bars around the corner aren't listed. Nor is the new coffee house. Or the nail salon.

ETA that, Portland being Portland, I still know of several neighbors who walk to all of those places, and I've been known to do it myself when a) I'm not hugely pregnant, b) I'm not in a huge hurry, and c) it's not pouring rain.
How much more time for being hugely pregnant?

How much longer does it take me? Or how much longer will I be hugely pregnant? I don't know the answer to the first, and the answer to the second is approximately 11 more weeks.

It collapsed during rush hour and according to eyewitness reports, it was bumper to bumper traffic. This is a major north-south freeway and this bridge was just north of downtown.

I don't think they even have a handle yet on fatalities.

1. Your home is worth whatever you can get someone to pay for it. Comps are, well, comps. Stats are, well, stats.

2. What are those 10/20 cities? And are they broken down to adjust for the stark differences from neighborhood to neighborhood? In the Philly area, Main Line and Chestnut Hill housing prices stay high, while many city neighborhoods have stagnated lately.

3. 10 cities. 20 cities. So what? Are we going through a housing crisis that should keep a person looking to buy in a good area from buying? No. The price of a home in a traditionally good area is not going up or down wildly. The exceptionally volatile markets drive these statistics.

Yes, those stats are real. And no, they have no practical value for most consumers.

Should I be worried about losing on my home? My neighbor just sold a home at an astounding profit. A few houses down some other guy can't get his house to sell. So many variables. So much bullshit in how it's all presented by the media.

Yes, it's a correction, and yes, that impacts markets and no, that's not how the media is primarily playing the story. They are playing the "everyone's going to get killed on their investment and have to live in their property for 20 years before they can make up the loss through an increase in value" angle.

Nonsense. Utter bullshit. They can't make more real estate. You buy right, you're fine.

My apartment gets a 94 out of 100. Maybe that's why I walk in LA.
Current home - 69 (heh!).

Place recently purchased, but not yet moved to - 35.

Lisa Loeb, Firecracker, is, well . . . sorry, Atticus. The pose and the album title are promising, but I look into those eyes and all I see is, "Let's stay up all night and drink more coffee than we should and laugh too much and cry maybe just enough and look for shooting stars and wonder about it all!"
Some of the best choad-gobbling I've gotten in my life was prefaced by that eye-speech. You just went to the wrong college, is all.

Weird. All I ever got is a coffee-induced stomach ache, sleep deprivation, lots of faked laughter and crying, and a vigorous sunrise masturbation session when she finally fucking dozes off.

I am already burned out on bridge collapse coverage. I honestly cannot believe how a huge fucking section of a major fucking highway in the downtown of a not-so-big fucking city just falls into the motherfucking Mississippi River during rush hour.

Agreed. She could do with some eclairs. Fortunately, the culmination of B permits multi-tasking, and mostly involves positions in which your partner is relatively less stabby. See, win-win.

Perhaps you should have tried it without the crying? College is for learning.
