Broken Le Creuset

A lesson I learned this morning: Le Creuset is breakable! Not that I truly doubted it, but my large dutch oven fell off the drainer this morning and cracked open near a handle. I figured this doesn't fall under a warranty due to operator error but was pleasantly surprised that they will replace the pot at 75% off retail which means $92 (plus the cost of shipping the pot back) in this instance.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but....

I love Chicken in a Biskit crackers. Seriously. I sneak them into the house.

What's your secret food of shame?

Flour tortillas from Ninfas. Unfortunately, he can smell them and steals them from me.

Seasoned spicy cuttlefish. Sometimes a tin of smoked oysters. I'm not ashamed for liking crunchy cheetos or pringles.

Cheetos are a true food of shame. Hard to hide that orange dust.

I've tried.

That's not one I'll be ashamed of. It's just something you have to do.

I like chicken. I like melted cheese. I like things that are fried. I LOVE bacon. I probably even like "the Colonel's secret sauce" (whatever that is -- and I definitely did not like seeing it typed out like that). But I do not expect I will ever have that sandwich. Or whatever it is.

Actually, I know what it is -- a future punchline on "30 Rock." Still not going to order it.

Those are not a food of shame. Those are little pillows from heaven.

It's thousand island dressing. Without the egg. Secret sauce is always thousand island without the egg.

How is this really all that different from a Chicken Cordon Bleu?
