That one little letter makes all the difference.

The site certainly says "seek" now. At the same time, I don't recall actually typing any of that text, but rather cutting and pasting it, so I'm a little mystified. Could the White House have revised that page subsequently? After reading this, I wouldn't be surprised.

I now have good reason to believe that the page has been changed since I first quoted it.

Regardless, at worst it was a misprint. The bottom line is that it doesn't stand for the proposition you first thought it did.

No, I was just being literal. You don't know what he actually said, and I find it a little creepy that the White House is revising the published texts after the fact.

It surely makes more sense that he meant to say "seeks," although it's not impossible that he said the other. What you call "misspeaking" I would call something else -- the pronouncements of someone who is generally uninterested in nuance and unaccustomed to having his words parsed.

I note this only because I have been confused with another poster in the past, but...

I cannot distinguish rufus leaking from the Hank Chinaski (or whateverr his name is) poster. You guys must have started posting around the same time and you both keep changing your avatars so much that any attempt to link the photo with an identity has been lost on me. Although I do know that Hank dislikes me, and I'm not clear on rufus' opinion on that matter.

can I ask your opinion on something? Are there really a lot of new socks? If so, what does it take to sock? For example, can you weave two socks using a computer common to both?
