If I'm wrong I will buy you Drambuie when I'm in your town.

I have a passport, but that helps not with driving. I have used the expired ID for verifying identity when I could walk to shopping.

I was taken into a room when I had to take down my pants so that they could access knee brace. Now if I wear pants I can't pull up to expose brace, iwear it on outside of pants. Metal in me will always require additional screening, maybe.

FWIW, my mom has given up and just asks right away for additional screening, since her metal bits are going to set off every machine, especially the nude-o-scopes.

Right now I do not travel alone and my parental units request a wheelchair, which is easier on me than walking, and guarrantees extra screening. I am a big fan of efficiency, so I will probably do what your mom does when I can walk freely again because the metal is not coming out. Though the brace, I hope, will eventually go bye-bye. No airport has wanted to see explanatory doc letter. I guess they are used to stuff like this.

For a tall layer cake like this one, I usually make a double batch and end up with some left over (and if you can't come up with uses for leftover cream cheese frosting, you have a serious problem!).
2 8-oz packages cream cheese, at cool room temperature
2 sticks unsalted butter, likewise
1 t vanilla extract
1/8-1/4 t salt
3 C powdered sugar
Beat cream cheese and butter with vanilla and salt with whisk attachment until fluffy (and smooth--I sometimes get lumps of butter or cream cheese if they're not the same temperature), then beat in powdered sugar. Refrigerate until good and cold, then whip again (I take the whisk attachment off the mixer and leave it in the bowl in the fridge). Frost cake right away, then refrigerate the whole thing.
This makes a light and fluffy frosting that still tastes strongly of cream cheese. Resist the temptation to add more sugar, as it just masks the cheesy flavor.

I forgot to get buttermilk. If I don't have some powdered form from King Arthur Flour, can I sub milk?

Options to substitute for buttermilk. If all else fails, milk works. It just won't have the tangy taste.

Re: To fuck or to cook?
I got some mini bundt pans and want to make lemon cake with a raspberry filling (I seem to recall filled bundt cakes). I found a recipe for "Lemon Loaf Cake" in Baking With Julia and I have a fair amount of just fruit seedless raspberry jam. I am unsure how to get the raspberry inside the cake and what, if anything, needs to be done to it.
HELP!! It's for next weekend so no huge time press.
