A world where no one laughed when a law student put their prep school on their resume.

PLF, if you're coming back from retirement, we need to put you to work. And I hope you realize, this means REAL work -- sweating out deals through the night in shabby hotel rooms, pushing those lazy associates to go the extra mile, ripping apart little Willard's workproduct, regardless of his relations.

I didn't hang with the non-denom prep school crowd. As for R.C. schools, the only girl I knew to have gotten pregnant was transferred to another school in the city specially reserved for Catholic High School Girls in Trouble. The idea being it was too embarassing to be at a girl's school where all the other girls knew you had succumbed to temptations. This was in 1986 or so. She raised the kid with her parents and got married four or so years later. That kid's gotta be 17 now. (Jeziz Christ!)

I'm sure there were others, but doubtless their parents "handled" the situation without the school administration ever finding out. I'm given to understand it can be "handled" on an outpatient basis, and will remain so until Sandra Day O'Connor dies.

Move to Texas. Sure the tea is booze and the quaint town is usually where the duck lease is, but that sort of thing still exists here.

I went to school, worked hard, and dragged myself up from my plain, white trash roots mainly so I could meet beautiful women who smelled good.
