I don't pretend to be a master of web-fu, but how can you really tell a primary from a sock. I assume it has something to do with the IP address, but there has to be another factor, yes?

If I want to, I can see IP addresses and the email addresses associated with the accounts. (Some socksters use the same email for each sock.)
For those who share an IP address or two (like certain aol, dsl, broadband), I check down the line to compare the other addresses.
It's all a pain in the ass, so I rarely check unless you've really irritated me.
