If I were not so stupid as to have friends who are not lawyers at firms, I would not have to endure this kind of inadvertent taunting.
That's as bad as "I have every other Friday off." I hate those people - even though it makes traffic better. But still, the fuckers. Don't even reply to e-mail and I can never remember which Friday is on or off. AND it gives them a free 4 day weekend on occasion.

And, no, I wasn't talking about the ass camel toe. That's not so bad. At least when you compare it to frontal camel toe, which is plainly disturbing.

That's just plain bizarre. He doesn't look like he has a dick. Weird.

Of course not. That's a party pic of the chief judge in one of the northern Minnesota districts. She's tough.

A sad day in the music world

Sniff, sniff. Creed is breaking up. Who could ever fill that void? Who, Bilmore, who? Now, at last, I think I know how people must have felt when Kansas broke up.

Did Kansas actually break up at some point, or did they just slowly slide from arenas to clubs to tractor pulls and school carnivals?

Inspired by the talk of moist skin on the FB yesterday, I splurged on a pricey facial during lunch yesterday and was astonished to walk in with dryish skin with a slight grey cast and walk out with a really plump, rosy complexion. I reject the pitch they gave that I'd need to purchase the following of their ($$) products to achieve the same effect at home: hydrating mask, light almond scrub, toner, and then moisturizer. I suspect one of these (or maybe even that these were all applied after spending 15 minutes with water steam in my face) is the culprit. Thoughts?

I am sorry this post is so boring. I should have included the part about how the facialist was an attractive young Russian woman and how I got a bit ashamed when I got all tingly down there when she was massaging musky smelling cream by lightly "tickling" my face and how I got naughty thoughts when she massaged cream into my hand by locking her own fingers with mine and squishing down so the base of her pretty slender fingers were grinding against the base of mine. OMG! Am I gay? Or is there some sort of "massage" exclusion?
First of all, you are definitely gay. Unless the Russian was smoking hot - but even then - you have gay tendencies.

Second - that's why you pay the big money for the facial. The combination of good products, a good sloughing and steam and the rubbing, all that rubbing, makes your skin feel and look great. Most of the time. Depends on the facialist and totally depends on the product. I came home one time with my skin looking worse than when I went. When the husband notices - then you know it's bad. Jurlique is not for me.

Most other facialists use the MD product line and Thalgo. Both really good and costs as much as crack. Maybe crack is a central ingredient. It's really going to depend on your skin, but if you find that you can't duplicate results at home, then what's it hurt to splurge on your skin? You're going to have to keep it the rest of your life, it might as well look good.

I had a friend with rosacea and she noticed a huge improvement after the facial. She purchased the crack lotion that the facialist recommended and got even better results with frequent use.

They're actually playing some surprisingly nice places, frequently, and selling them out.

How do I know this? They're coming here July 1, and my bro-in-law is quite pleased. If he plays Dust in the Wind one more time in the car with me, though, he ain't gonna be pleased for long.

I also do the usual glycolic thing a few times a year.
It sounds like part of the effect you noticed probably came from the exfoliation. My experience with facials is that they do a cleansing, then a steaming, then exfoliation, then take of exfolation and maybe clean again, then mask, then more cleaning and moisturizer. It seems like the steaming kind of loosens everything up and then the exfoliation takes off some of the dead stuff on top, exposing new skin that sucks in the moisturizer etc.

Kinda like how at the pedicure place, they soak your feet before scraping at the calluses.

Philosophy has a number of exfoliating products. I have very insensitive skin, and have used the greatest love (I think that's the name) -- the exfoliating stuff that feels not unlike microdermabrasion. You may find that too harsh.

I was going to note that I just saw Kansas in a summer concert line up. "Taste of Minnesota" is this big 4th of July type event in Minnesota where people eat enormous amounts of fried cheese and watch music from other decades. Check out the diversity!

1/KANSAS: With Chuck Negron, Taste of Minnesota, Harriet Island Park, St. Paul. Free. 651-772-9980.

2/RICK SPRINGFIELD: With Colin Hay (Men at Work), Taste of Minnesota, Harriet Island Park, St. Paul. Free. 651-772-9980.

3/THE FOUR TOPS: With the Temptations featuring Dennis Edwards, Taste of Minnesota, Harriet Island Park, St. Paul. Free. 651-772-9980.

4/JIMMY DORSEY ORCHESTRA: With the Four Lads, Taste of Minnesota, Harriet Island Park, St. Paul. Free. 651-772-9980.

5/THE VIOLENT FEMMES: With the Big Wu, Taste of Minnesota, Harriet Island Park, St. Paul. Free. 651-772-9980.

Seeing Kansas on the bill is no surprise. I'm telling you, Ollie, the Midwest is where the arena rockers of the 70s and 80s come (or in the case of Kansas, presumably return) to die. I present to you . . . Rock Fest!

15-18/ROCK FEST: Including Smash Mouth, Counting Crows, Spin Doctors, John Waite, Huey Lewis and the News, the Allman Brothers Band, Saliva, Tesla, Twisted Sister, Judas Priest, Newsboys, REO Speedwagon, Styx and John Fogerty, 2447 County Rd. S, Cadott, Wis. $60-$140. Camping passes also available. 1-800-326-3378.

I am pretty sure that, six or seven years ago, Smash Mouth had no clue they would soon be on the bill with Styx, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, and Judas Priest. ROCK FEST!

Another big event for these types of bands is the Rib Fest in downtown Minneapolis, which has in recent years seen bands like Foreigner, Kansas, the Speedwagon and bands of their ilk. This year's line up is a little disappointing:

30/COWBOY MOUTH AND SPIN DOCTORS: Ribfest, Ritz parking lot, 4th St. and Nicollet Mall, Mpls.

31/BIG HEAD TODD AND THE MONSTERS: Ribfest, Ritz parking lot, 4th St. and Nicollet Mall, Mpls.

AUGUST

1/BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY: Ribfest, Ritz parking lot, 4th St. and Nicollet Mall, Mpls.

But, the Spin Doctors will probably still be primed to go with Rib Fest coming closely on the heels of Rock Fest.

It's about time. If anyone wanted to be Eddie Vedder it was that guy. And they were as good for Christian music as Amy Grant was.

Well that would solve any disputes whether to get married by: (1) a judge; or (2) an Elvis impersonator. Minnesota: "Come fall in love with a loon."

unless snowmobiling and kayaking and ice fishing are all euphemisms, this is a pathetic excuse for an FB thread, let alone one on a Friday afternoon.

Or, everyone else has left.
