The term does, of course, describe me and my kin.
Question is what does the "white" imply -- generally, I'd think most people of color would not want to be included in this particular club or culture. But is there a sub-silento suggestion that the term distinguishes the white trash from all other trash, e.g., people of color or some subset thereof? I don't think the term needs to imply that, especially when used by those reared in the hollows between the mighty Appalachains.
