I know this was directed at Paigow, but I figured I'd throw down too. I was very disappointed. Helen Hunt's terrible Maine accent was overshadowed only by the fact that her face has gotten so thin and drawn she looks like a corpse. Paul Newman was okay, but I think he overplayed the role. And all in all, the adaptation just didn't draw out the characters the way it should have. The narrator was given that function, and the movie suffered terribly for it.
