Cal. Health & Safety Code § 878. The referenced Penal Code section provides generally that peace officers have the power and authority to beat your ass, or to use their special po-lice "walkie talkies" to call upon such of their colleagues taller than 5'2" who are capable of beating your ass. BTW, make sure none of your bigger neighbors are around when the officer comes callin', because they can be deputized to join in the ass-beating. See Cal. Pen. Code § 830.6(c). Good luck, and don't fight back. Resisting arrest is not smiled upon in Santa Clara, even if you're hill-folk.
