It is a way for working class guys to feel good about themselves and define themselves in a way they feel is distinctive...although it is a pack mentality.
I'm from Boston, and Revere Beach is all about the Guido.

My grandparents were immigrants. You mistake my amateur anthropological interests and sarcasm for snobbery. I grew up around loads of Guidos. That's what makes them interesting to me.
