Personally have mixed results with the meat probes--they're quite sensitive to where the probe is inserted and don't read consistently. Have three of them--two versions basically indistinguishable from the winner, but with different branding and a wireless one, which never seems to be all in one place and with usable batteries for both ends. Find ourselves double-checking with the thermapen anyway.
