You are my sock puppet. I have thrown joint parties with an architect of my acquaintance, and the two groups get on famously. Both groups are obsessive/compulsive, overeducated, and can talk about nothing other than their work. This offends, intimidates and bores most outsiders, and among insiders leads to horrendous torrents of "shop talk." However, lawyers and architects talking to each other find a fairly receptive audience, smart enough to understand what the other does and think it interesting, and also (but differently) abused by the "system" in which they work so they have sympathy for horror stories.

Good combination.
A few weeks ago, someone here posted a rant about annoying things clients do. I cut and pasted the rant (with attribution) and forwarded to my brother. I think the rant has been cirlced by architects for a few weeks.
