I've had at least three great meals at Postrio, though the most recent was well over 3 years ago. And, thankfully, I wasn't paying for any of those meals.
The place is an institution from which many top Bay Area chefs have graduated to start their own top restaurants. Given that inherent turnover, not to mention the extraordinary growth of the Puck empire, there is probably some inconsistency to the place.
