The bartender should be knowledgeable, entertaining, a first-class mixologist and someone who knows how to make out-of-towners feel welcome.
I've only been to 2 of these. Youse guys been to the other ones? Are they right? Wrong?

I've been to the Top of the Mark in San Francisco and it's mediocre at best. Good booze selection, but the atmosphere can be miserable with overloud cheesy music and cheesier dancers. The drinks they mix are so-so (lots of specialty drinks but most of them cloyingly sweet), the staff hardly anything that would bring you back.
The view, on the other hand, is magnificent.
