Of course, because there's money, which is why I figured it was a shakedown to begin with.

But if her concern is how awful it would be to take the stand and have her sexual history paraded out before the courtroom, won't the same concern apply in a civil suit? The defense lawyers move for an early deposition of her asking about all sexual conduct, with the clear import the same will happen at any trial. From what I understand, that could go on for days. Can she hold her bluff long enough to get something more than a token payment, after having cracked on testifying in the criminal case?
