If you've ever used the screen where it maps out the image by the differing exposures throughout the picture, it can really let you do a lot. If you're doing black and whites, esp., it lets you pretty much choose your zone and adjust accordingly. I've had some shots I've adjusted by +/- 3 or 4 to nail and gotten exactly what I wanted.
