Thanks, everyone. Epinions concurs with NFH's recommendation of the Norelco 8894, which is currently the leading contender. Happily, it seems to be available for a lot less than the outrageous MSRP. (For $250, you should get not only a razor but also someone who comes to the house and gives him a shave every day.)
