I assume there was negligence. If there is one test they should be sure that they give you the right result it should be this one.

ETA: And this post shows exactly why you shouldn't be anywhere near healthcare if you think that there is ANY test in the world, including a HIV tests, where false-positives don't come up. Even 99.9 percent accurate tests will have a huge number of false positives in a large population. And I'm sorry to tell you that there are very, very few 99.9 percent accurate tests in the world.
