Good call. I'd also request she not be around for any post delivery needs either. Put it in the birth plan and make sure whoever is there with her will speak for her when she isn't able to....

ml.....(remember thinking it very um...disconcerting that the inability to speak during contractions was when they'd finally listen to you.....)
